It's been almost 2 weeks since I've got the Diana Instant Back. I've gone through 2 & a half packs of mini fujifilm instax and it's time for a review!
So i got my hands on the instant back. Putting it on was easy and was tres excited on playing it. The film has an iso of 800 and diana takes up to iso400 however it comes with a corrective lens which allows you to take pictures with such a high ISO. Now, going through my first pack was a disaster. My flash was not syncing with my diana, which resulted to a waste of film..i.e. pictures coming out pitch black. After several stressful attempts of fixing the flash, it was all resolved by just bending the piece of metal that creates a full circuit when you press the shutter within the diana.
With the diana instant back, it works best with the flash. No doubt. Also better with colours. However you have to ensure the diana settings are all right. That is with the 'B' & 'N' and the aperture. So out of 25pictures of trial pictures. Here are the results:
