With LC-A, I don't have a heavy burden being a "photographer" but yet i still can do some experimenting with it which I love. Do some experiment and new things in pictures.

Like Zafirah, i was surfing the Internet on Multiply when i came across some random people's site who had pictures taken with the Holga. They took my breath away that i googled more on Lomo. & thats when my obsession started. haha. I learnt about all those old school cameras that used films, like the Holga, Diana, Action Sampler, Super Sampler & many more different kinds. I was so obsessed with them that i finally caved in and bought the Holga on my latest trip which was on june '08 in s'pore. I'm still learning all about it but its been really cool, so far. Only downside is its quite expensive but then it all makes up for it, when the pictures all comes out. :)) Next on my list is to get the Action Sampler. hehe. soon. ;)

I was surfing the internet and I stumbled on some fisheye photos that were said to be taken by one of the Lomo cameras. I googled Lomography and went to its official site - it was different back then... I remember something white with full of photos and words in a language that I don't understand. I don't remember if it was Lomography's official site, though. Since my first discovery of Lomography, I've been wishing of a Fisheye camera from Lomo. I admit I gave up at wishing and asking for it. I've partly forgotten about Lomo until the time when I came across a Lomography community on LJ. That's the time when I actually realise that I like old looking photos for example the ones taken by Lomo. I started to think to get at least one Lomo camera at that time but I was indecisive about which to get. After a lot of research, I got sick of doing it - it ate up a lot of my time and not buying a Lomo camera was bugging me, so, I just chose an LCA. My heads have been stuffed with Lomo stuffs ever since.

Can I join LomoBru now even if I haven't got a Lomo camera but I just ordered it?

Yes, you can as long as you are sure that you will get yourself a Lomo camera within a month time.

I don't have a Lomo camera but I do shoot film. Can I join?

I've made a separate group for film users Brunei as well due to non-Lomo e-mails applications. I'm not trying to be unfair but I think it would be easier that way so no confusion between Lomo photos and non-Lomo film photos. It's Film Brunei. If there will be any future event with LomoBru, Film Brunei members would probably be invited to tag along and take part in any of our activities.

Can I invite LomoBru to work with my event?

I'm very sure that LomoBru members would be in no hesitation to take part in any activities - invitations or just events. If you'd want our help, feel free to e-mail LomoBru.

Where can I buy Lomo camera in Brunei?

So far, there's no official places that sell Lomography sfuffs in Brunei but there are two online shops based in Brunei that sell those. They are: Barangretroman and Spreesalee.

Where can I buy 120 films in Brunei?

Some of our 120 film users here go to this shop in Batu Satu. It's called something Image. You can also buy 120 films from Spreesalee. Those are the only place I know that sell those now. I will edit this section once I've got more answers.

Where can I develop 120 films in Brunei?

NanYang, K.B, Rose Photo Studio, Tutong and something Image in Batu Satu.

Where can I buy slide films in Brunei?

Slide film users that we have on LomoBru buy their slide films overseas - order online or buy them from neighbouring countries like Singapore and Malaysia. You can try Spreesalee.

Where can I cross process in Brunei?

Most photo labs in Brunei don't do cross process for some reasons like these: they're afraid that cross processing would break their machine, they don't know what a cross processing is, they don't know how to cross process, they just don't. BUT, don't be sad, don't give up, try asking from shop to shop, if they would or tell them what you want them to do with you film, i.e. develop film in E-6 chemicals, develop film in C-41 chemicals. NB: I would recommend you to buy slide films and tell them to develop it normally like they would with negative films.

Some photo labs / shops that accept cross processing: Guan Chuan, York, Kodak at The Mall's basement.

Where can I get my films developed in E-6 chemicals in Brunei?

So far, I haven't got any answer for that. A person who works in a photo lab once told me that that's due to the lack of demand on that certain chemicals. And because of that, they just stick to C-41. Photo chemicals do get expired too.
